Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, an American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress, producer and director who is employed in film and television. She started acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and television series. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of awards. Her first professional performance was as Ariel as Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. She has performed on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her performances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her work in television she's been recognized for her part as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
