
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is an attacking player. She is also the captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest level of professional soccer for women. From 2018 to 2020, she served as co-captain for the women's national soccer team of America with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was chosen as the top pick in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. There, she made her professional debut and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time, and was the youngest member of the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. Morgan scored the match-winning goal in the match against Canada in the 123rd minute of the semi-final match at the 2012 London Olympics. She was the second player in the United States to have 20 assists and 28 goals in 2012. This made her the sixth-youngest and youngest prolific player in the United States to achieve 20 goals in a single year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan also helped the United States win their titles at the 2015 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, in which she was selected to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
